Recently I was called to duty for a serious campaign. My cousin Jackie is advocating for the Filipino Farm Communities that are being threatened by zoning districts. This is a huge call for me as I believe that graphic design can be used for these type of matters. In the same way Shepard Fairey used his Obama Poster to make history and influence the election of the first Black president. Or the way Milton Glaser educated the masses about AIDS with his awareness posters.
Unfortunately, these sketches were rejected as they convey more of the Americanized notions of farming. I resubmitted sketches depicting traditional Filipino Farming but I'm still waiting for the response. I'll post those soon.
